Mayberry RFD

We spent three nights rocking and rolling in high winds at a marina in Bel Haven, NC, better known as Mayberry. Really, these were the kindest, most down-home folks you ever met! No cell phone coverage, but internet wifi of course. The picture you see is of an old southern mansion built in 1899 by a lumber/railroad baron. It is now an inn, and is part of the marina. Magnificent building inside!
We are now in Oriental, NC, waiting for some prescription dog food to get to us from Oklahoma for Maggie for a bladder stone she has developed. Of course they had none within 50 miles of here, so a phone call to our wonderful friend Pam Warren got the food and antibiotics picked up and overnighted to us from the vet in OKC. Thanks Pam, and sick little Maggie thanks you too!
We have a weather window of several good traveling days ahead, so we'll be letting you know what's up. See ya!
